Many providers feel embarrassed asking about pricing for HRT.
Let me make this clear — there’s no shame in not knowing how to price your services. Most of us never learned how to run a business.
So here’s how to confidently calculate your monthly recurring fee for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) patients.
Step One: Know Your Costs
Let’s use a male testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) patient as an example.
- Testosterone Cypionate (200mg/ml): $50 (90-day supply)
- Syringes/Needles: $15 (90-day supply)
- Alcohol pads: $1 (90-day supply)
- Shipping: $12
That totals $78 every 3 months, or $26/month in cost.
If you charge $175/month, you’re looking at a monthly net profit of $149 — an 85% margin. That’s exceptional.
Now imagine this:
- 100 male TRT patients = $17,500 in monthly recurring revenue
- Subtract $2,600 in monthly costs
- You keep $14,900/month, or $178,800/year
All from just 100 patients, many of whom require 15 minutes of your time every few months.
Pricing for Female HRT Patients
For women, your cost is higher, and so is your time commitment. Most women will require:
- Testosterone
- Estradiol
- Progesterone
You’ll also likely spend more time answering questions, managing symptoms, and adjusting doses.
Because of this, a fair monthly fee is $250–$300/month.
Is the margin as good as TRT? Not usually. But you’re offering more value and time, and your prices should reflect that.
What NOT to Obsess Over
- Exact cost of meds or syringes
- Shipping costs
- What other clinics charge
These details matter, but they should not paralyze you. Shop around, get your pricing dialed in, and keep going.
Repeat After Me: Profit = Sustainability
The worst mistake providers make is undercharging.
This isn’t about greed. It’s about building a business that supports your lifestyle and growth.
Know your monthly costs. Know your monthly profit.
And remember: you’re not just charging for meds — you’re charging for transformation.
